But those cells only have a 2 year warranty.

So what ? A new Fairline that might cost £3,000,000 only has a 2 year warranty.

And that's a factory gate price in China, so unrealistic to compare with a VAT paid nextday consumer price in the UK.

That price includes tax, you just have to pay the carriage. I just ordered 3 batteries from my supplier and the carriage was £22.50 plus VAT

A Tesla powerwall has a Ten Year warranty.
5 years is common for industrial lead acid.
3 years for some 12V LIFEPO4 drop in batteries.

Which is interesting because (thanks to the EU) we have a minimum 2 year warranty period in the Uk.

And Fogsstar Drift batteries using (I presume the same) Eve Grade A cells have a 10 year warranty - suggesting perhaps the lack of confidence is not in the cells themselves but what diyers might do to them!

To be fair to them, they agreed I could saw the handles off my 300Ah without affecting the warranty so no idea what DIYers must be up to

Good to see prices are still falling.
I'm looking at a panel and battery system for my house.

If you follow through to the checkout, it's still pretty cheap. They're quoting me £262 including delivery to the Isle of Skye.

My first battery was £407 all in, in early 2021. Even back then, that was cheaper than deep cycle lead acid.
