Worked last year, upon feeling about I find this plug thing loose.

May not be related, may have always been loose.

Anything to check?

Does the alternator light come on when you turn power (ignition) on to engine. If light comes on and remains on when engine is running then drive belt or wiring failure. If light does not come on at all then a failure of brushes on slip rings (most likely) or regulator. All assuming wiring is intact. Might end up pulling alternaor for a bench test by auto electrician. ol'will

You need to identify and reconnect the loose wire. Maybe it's the earth / negative connection ??? The colour of the wire should identify it ( the earth wire is black)

Refer to the wiring diagram in your owner's manual

Check all other connections especially the warning light and excitation connections on the two wire plug in connector

If you can ( it might not be easy ) check that there is 12 volts on the red/black wire connected to the R terminal when the key switch is turned on.

Take note of what William has said about what the warning light might tell you.

If simple checks do not diagnose the problem take it to an Auto-electrician for proper testing and diagnosis as William suggests.
