ECHO. A whole debate in itself. Good to encourage beginners, but encourages mediocrity too.

By the way, I haven't answered the poll as I do inshore IRC, offshore & OD racing, all (well mainly) on OPBs.

Offshore, RORC, on other people's boats. I like long, multi- day stuff, in another life I'd have tried to be a Chichester or David Lewis. My own boat is for family cruising and not raced.

Not sure I can tick any of the poll boxes either. I do a few club races because it gives us all something to take the mick out of each other at the bar later...... and when I get the chance I'll enter a multihull event so that I can play on a relatively level field and learn a few things about sailing my boat.
