Having a mare with a Penta d6 310 Evc a. It’s been sitting in storage for about 12 years, we’re trying to get it going in the boat shed now but it doesn’t seem willing to play ball.

We’ve replaced the PCU, ECU and
HCU, the only thing that seemed to improve the situation was the HCU replacement, the gauges now light up etc when we connect the batteries to the engine.

When we connect the battery now we can hear the injectors reacting and the fuel pump making a noise, it seems to carry out a start up check for about 30 seconds, in that time the dials etc light up and we get a red exclamation on the warning light gauge then everything shuts down with a click at the fuel pump.

As stated we’ve replaced the ecu with a known good one along with the hcu and pcu without success.

Any suggestions of what to try next?

The fuel pump is mechanical so unless your cranking it over you won’t hear much , have you tested the dc dc convertor for voltage in and out ?

We worked it out, was a faulty x2 data cable in the end. Thanks for your response. Hopefully we’ll get it fired up today.
