Clamp-on Outboard Sail/Peräpurje/Sternsail made by Meka Tuote Oy, Finland, and probably dating from about the 1980s. An unusual and interesting item!
Sadly I believe that this particular Outboard Sail is likely incomplete, missing it's mast and rudder. However, I've never used it and my knowledge is therefore limited to research online. A replacement mast and rudder could quite easily be fabricated in wood I would imagine.
It's sold as seen, and comes with two sails which are likely original; one seemingly full sized, and one small storm sail..
I've included a couple of pictures found online to show the complete assembly of an assumed similar Outboard Sail. Theres no manual or literature included with this Outboard Sail sadly.
It's about 5ft long and probably not really suitable for posting unfortunately, so ideally to be collected from Norwich NR2, or west Norfolk PE31 6 by arrangement.
£200 anyone?
