can anyone recommend a local boat builder , as opposed to a local handyman, who could rebuild and reshape a grp rudder for me.

When I thought I needed this I found a GRP company in Wiltshire. Somewhere in the Bradford on Avon area. Sorry I can't be more specific.

The best GRP specialist I know in the Bristol Channel area used to be self-employed but the last time I spoke to her she was working for the Portishead marina team - her name is Jo Line, nickname Gelcoat Jo.

What I want doing is more of a structural issue rather than just gelcoat

I said she is a GRP specialist. She did structural work on our ocean-going motor yacht and I was very pleased with the result. "Gelcoat" is just her nickname, that's all.
