Last time I saw a video he had just arrived in Norway from Iceland, I had thought he hadn't looked well for a while and he had struggled during his last voyage.

In response to questions on his YouTube channel he said he didn’t think there would be much interest in his return trip so he didn’t upload it. I suspect he underestimates his popularity.

He said he’s planning his next adventure and will film again.

Is he still in the RM? Got no Wifi today (in Roscoff) and good old Vodafone's 'fair use policy' caps my (paid for) data when I'm roaming (also paid for).
Yes, and on the first of the 2 vids he's just posted, he's underneath the RM, changing the SD Seal.
We've a bigger one, a 11:80 RM here in Corfu and had a walk around it yesterday as it's out of the water.
Amazing lines, chines in the strangest places I've ever seen.

Yes, those chamfered topsides are quite a look, on the 1180. They’re huge too, close up.And the only RM with a chunk of the hull in GRP - not just the deck.
Going to try to get a look at the new 1080. Should be built, by the time we get down to La Rochelle. It’s got an interesting cockpit design. One step on from the, (also) Lombard Design, current crop of Jeanneau boats. Need to see it to know if it’d work, for me……

Always had a liking for the RMs.

Don't seem to have caught on in UK though - under the impression there's no current UK importer - searching throws up Parkstone Bay but no 'new RM boats 'page on website. Are we that conservative?

Think Parkstone’s involvement was with the ‘old’ RM, before Grand Large took over. Certainly, the yard were happy to start discussions on a direct purchase, last year.
UK must be in their sights though. They will be exhibiting the current flagship, RM 1380,at this year’s Southampton….
Cesar (Sales Director) took me round the yard. And was stressing how British their concept was: Plywood, lift or bilge keels (with fin available too), in (by modern standards) modest sizes, with simple fit outs. Although there’s a good helping of French, offshore racing inspired, design flair involved in the execution, of course!

Promising. Will look out for them at the show. Used one more realistic in my case though but prices seem to have gone up! 890 (Patrick's boat) priced from £70 K according to YM test 10 years ago - can't find one for less than 84 K.

I think that £70k referred to the earlier model. The 890 in 2014 like the one for sale in France was around £100k new. highly unlikely you will find one for sale in the UK as don't think many (if any) were sold to UK based owners.

I liked the look of the 890 too and on the strength of the YM review contacted them for pricing info. I think that by the time you’ve put the sails, electronics, covers, folding prop, fridge, commissioning …..etc etc on I think you would be looking at 150k plus VAT. If I had that amount spare though I would definitely be interested. And in the 970.
