I think it is annoying not to have water available on the pontoons for a 3 month stretch. I was fully expecting water to be turned back on after the Cmas break. The fact that water isn't turned on has affected how often we have stayed on the boat over night.
I suppose a risk assessment is in order.
risk 1 -I have to travel 1 hour to get to my boat. I could have a crash and burden the NHS. As I have not had an accidedent in over 25 years I would say the risk is low there. Risk 2 entering the marina and boat - I can enter my marina and my boat...
We also live in Kettering and have our S34 moored on the Trent at Farndon Marina where there is a lifter, also another at Newark marina - that is roughly 1 hr 15 to get to for us.
I own a sign company and I wouldn't wrap my boat. The material as said is mainly for car/vans that will likely have the message/colour changed at the end of the lease or when ever a new design is required. The material is not robust enough for the marine environment. Thin stripes and logos +...
On the Sealine forum there is a how to on the replacement of servicable parts. I believe you can buy a service pack from an Ebby dealer which would include the glow plug, filters etc.

I did have a sale fall through with BW as they/their client couldn't produce paper work for the boat we had offered on. Almost like the previous sale had been brokered in a lay by somewhere. We didn't loose any of our deposit or suffer anything other than frustration as a result and have met...
The round bit that fits in the channel on boats/caravans is called ''keder'' - it comes in various diameter thickness and is sewn on to the edge of the canvas
Mactac are suppliers of self adhesive vinyl widely used in sign making, vehicle graphics and boat wrapping. I am not aware that they have extended their product for use as antifoul - perhaps they now have
The pics are current ones. We have members of the Sealine forum based up there and it's a real mess. The pontoons are fixed and it looks like the boats have been dragged under by their ropes.
Glad you like them guys - hope they do the trick
sorry for the late reply only just dropped onto this thread. Looking forward to meeting you all at the end of the ride
all the best

There isn't anything at Keady any more. Weststockwith is the 1st available stop that has a couple of pubs. Torksey is the next and then a Cromwell lock after that.
