I have a Furuno NX300 display head which I’d like to install but a genuine Furuno antenna costs ( part number NX-3H-D) in the region of £250. Does anyone know whether I could use a cheaper option of antenna to get the thing to work? For example the NASA antenna?
I had a new masthead transducer fitted by DN Marine whilst the boat was on a swinging mooring in Poole. Cabled Dow to the foot of the mast and they also fitted an LED bulb to the tricolour light whilst they were up there. Invoiced £200.
Rather defeatist solution but I needed an outboard this week so bought a Mercury 3.5 to replace the Honda which I’ve now sold for £150. I did receive a second quotation to fix the Honda of £270. I very much appreciate all the advice provided here and I got as far as taking the Cowl off only to...
Hmmm. Well the background is that it was running perfectly last season but I suffered a bad fall which put paid to sailing since last May and the outboard hasn’t been used between then and now (11 months).
I tried starting it on Friday and with the choke on, it starts at second pull, however...
My 2015 Honda 2.3 outboard has been condemned by the outboard engineer at Cobbs Quay. Apparently requires a new carburettor plus labour an can’t guarantee longevity of repair even after that. So I think it’s sensible for me to buy a new outboard for the tender/dinghy. What do forumites recommend...
Agree - stunning boat JFM although I have my wife to do the dishes so would probably convert that particular area to a sauna or another essential luxury.
I know virtually nothing about multihulls and don’t have a clue what your budget stretches to, but I saw this and thought of you!

I’ve sold my boat so have no need for this. These are cracking sets and this one is in very good condition for its age. There are no dead pixels. Comes complete with mounting bracket & knobs, antenna & cable plus power lead - also a rail mount.
Please do note the date is displayed incorrectly...
This is a solidly made moulding I’d planned to adapt to house a sailing instrument. I think it’s probably designed to inset into the cockpit coaming to be used to store bric a brac. I don’t need it and I’m having a clear out. Maybe you could think of a use for it?
£15 + pp.
I purchased this Habitent from another forumite. It was secondhand when I purchased it and I was assured it was in good condition and complete. I actually can’t rember what model of Habitent it was but fairly sure it’s the Mistral model. I bought it for my 27 foot sailing boat and I believe it...
This came with a boat, now sold. It’s in very good condition and includes a bracket for mounting to thr pushpit rail. No instructions and original box is very distressed.
I did use an identical log on another boat I owned and it proved reliable & accurate.
Not sure what to charge - £50 + pp
