looks those are standard "fendress" with the SL logo embroidered on them,
I like them, and grey is the perfect mating collor ;-)
John, you will need "Liros" ropes on this gentlements yacht :)
tbh I'm a big fan of fins, I have retrofit CMC electric fins (zero speed) and very pleased with that,
I have zero experience with Gyro, but what I hear from boating friends, is that they only work at anker (thats basic fysics)
we navigate a lot at 10..11kn, and at that speed, the fins have to...
Yes, I can confirm that 72ft is a good size, for that number of guests, and that kind of useage, we own a 70..75ft Canados now soon starting the 13th season, and still love the boat and its size, a few years ago I've looked at SL82, but that didn't give any substantial benifit, Zero speed...
absolutely !
we were there 3 times one week with the Karnic, and many times with Blue Angel in summer, and one winter
lovely place, a few very nice restaurants; La Statione was and still is our favourite, close friends had a restaurant "La Table de Marie," but they sold the business last...
Question: (out of interest)
- Do the MTU engines have a run-in period, or did they do that in the factory ?
- Can you use the boat at full throttle ? did SL do sea trials at max speed ?
- does SL need todo some fine tuning on the prop-pitch ? or do they have enough experience with this model...
For those interested,
since many years we use a similar product; Fastmount in our co in OB vans and on Blue Angel

Thanks JFM for the praising words, and for pitching my co 😊
I don’t want to hijack this wonderful tread with my business, but your explanation on what Amptec does needs a tiny adjustment;
We hardly ever sell systems into night clubs; While it might be all the same for you 😉
we sell and install...
I had the same problem with a Kohler / Yanmar genset,
in my setup the solonoid was rsuted and stuck,

in random order,

- a bit further up N on the same side are the 3 green caves
- Sunj is a famous sandy beach on the S side of Lopud, popular among the locals

- the small island 'Supetar" in...
lots of good advice for Alt, I'll add some later,
but just one thing, for anybody visiting Cavtat,
the C in Cavtat is pronounced as TS, ( this is standard Croatian langeage, for this position of a C and not followed by a H)
so when you say TSavtat, you sound like a local,
anything else...
You can bring the complete cylinder to a hydraulic shop,
and they can rebuild the unit as new,
thats what I did with my 31yo rudder cylinder last year, the shop did even replace part of the housing, (make new)
as jfm say's no need to go the original manufacturer,
thank you all for the advice,
all thoughts much apreciated,
thanks Mike for the elaborate explanation,
I'm also planning to supervice the replacement, so that I know how todo it in case I'm in need,
the yard in sant Antioco first said we know those seals, but when they checked them closely...
