Well we did the power boat and 16 gallons an hour was fun, the weather forecast here looks quite good too.
Sailing is fun, wondering about whether a mobile phone is OK for navigation?

Sat tied to a mooring buoy nursing a hangover on Sunday morning, blowing 20 gusting 30kts.
there was a lot of fuss and bother on the next buoy downstream with three or so raggies messing around with bits of string and chains off the buoy, one of the boast escaped their raft and as they motored...
Just thought I say thanks to the folk who recomended various configs for a rib on the davits.
Raggie came in too fast and bent one of the davits, eventually got a replacement and a cheque from the gent who bent it.
The combo is pretty good, the engine management packed up and was replaced...
Noticed another oooo you're going too fast and making it all bumpy moan from a raggie thread ........... again!!
why do raggies moan about wash, obviously never been out in any kind of sea outside the solent!!!
as for slowing down creating no wash, ever been passed by one of these fellas...
in a harbour, if you are on a boat of any sort then a good hight wash will confirm how well you are secured for sea before you get out there.

Bilge alarm float switch will trigger...

A frantic phone call later in the morning from him that the gas alarm was going off, thinking the worst that he had...
Sure someone will be along soon to answer my daft pleadings for help!
I was losing a couple of pints of coolant every hour or so of running on the stbd engine.
This aft I poured in a bottle of coolant and ran uo the engine, changing the caps over between engine, then by chance found a loose...
Spotted the inevitable, guess what:- there is a new night vision camera available to connect to their plotter, prices range from 5,000 to 15,000 of your finest pounds.

Makes me wonder if when JFM lauches his ocean liner we could organise a fire tug or two spraying sea water all over her?
Let's face it, his new vessel is probably better designed foot for foot and more sophisticated.
Just a casual thought
