RYA members should get an email with free Boat Show ticket

Just received an email from the RYA with an offer of a free ticket for this year's Southampton Boat Show. You can also buy 2 more at half price instead of the regular price of £29.99. Applications must be made by midnight 7 May.

Knew that would happen after I told them to stick their membership

Its not really free, just part of your membership. Either £55 or £90 depending if you are an individual or family member.

I was extremely disappointed in the show last year, 2023, stalls were either missing or had shrunk to about a third of their pre-COVID size. I am not expecting to visit the show any time this century.

On reflection I think the response following some feedback to the RNLI about the number of chuggers they had was correct, "Not a lot of people at the show know about the work we do".
