    The small ICE outboard.

Both my outboards happen to been for servicing/repair and the small rubber dinghy tender has needed oars. Good for the tum. But I use the tide to get to and from the boat. Just take time.

    Charging engine battery

I have 3 small solar panels [ each approx 1sq foot] installed back in 1988 and still keep all my batteries both service and starting in both hulls up to scratch, throughout the year. 12.8v.

    Crew Collection

My avatar is quite happy on the bus. And with my OAP card, it's free. Dartmouth to Portland and reverse often done, and there is a connection to Poole {X53?}. It just takes time, but enjoyable experience.

    Windlass why electric

I en sail single handed and if clear in an anchorage use the engine/s slow ahead with the autopilot on to take in the slack from my windlass and foot switch. I need two hands to recover the chain/rope.

    Car top boat

Maybe also check the security of the side rails to the car for lashing the boat down. Don't ask why!

Advice about Saint Alban's head passage tomorrow

Sun burn in the Dart again today, and the fuel barge is as ever 1st class. Plenty of room on the Hbr Authority's pontoons and the visitor's pontoon at Darthaven a doddle, just take your time and they will meet you to take your lines, if you call them up ahead.

Advice about Saint Alban's head passage tomorrow

Portland has buses to Weymouth, and another back to Poole [?X53. ] for car collection. Always ask and are given permission to use SE entrance. Lidl now at Portland within easy walking distance. I always use the inshore passage and rarely have more than 1 awkward wave. it can be used in any state...
