I found that the rev counter often needed to be excited by a burst of revs.
I only got an alarm when I stopped the engine and didn't power off (in my case with the key). No alarms on start.
I have the same Crusader set up. Swearing seems part of the process. It is easier if you get some of the sail in the track first and then feed in the stackpack. If someone takes a bit of the weight of the sale it is easyish to slide the stackpack along.
There were lots of unused moorings in the Crouch some years ago and have remained so. Less buoys put out in Bradwell Creek and the marina has a waiting list. I guess that many of those who can afford boat ownership prefer to do it from a marina.

In Vlissingen there is a newish marina straight ahead without turning into the lock. That is a short walk from the customs office.
